RAM Ramblings: Radio Mirchi leads the night slot in Mumbai

According to RAM data for Mumbai for the period between Week 10 (February 28 to March 6) and Week 21 (May 16-22), in the 9 pm to 12 am slot, Radio Mirchi led the market with a 19.8 per cent share.

Radio City followed with a 15.8 per cent market share, toppling Red FM, which had ruled the second position for quite some time now. Red FM has seen a decline over the past few weeks and its market share stood at 14.1 per cent as on Week 21. Fever FM, on the other hand, has grown substantially over the fast few weeks and had a market share of 12.7 per cent on Week 21, as against 8.2 per cent market share in Week 8.

Big FM was at No. 5 with 11.4 per cent market share on Week 21, while AIR FM2 Gold had a 9 per cent market share. Vividh Bharti Mumbai and Radio One have been almost neck and neck for the eighth spot for quite some time. In Week 21, however, Vividh Bharti was ahead with a market share of 6.2 per cent, as against the 5.6 per cent market share of Radio One.

AIR FM1Rainbow and Akashwani Mumbai had a market share of 2 per cent each on Week 21, while Meow FM’s market share stood at 1.4 per cent.
