RAM Rambling: Radio Mirchi the hottest in Kolkata market

Radio Mirchi remains the hot favourite in the Kolkata market as per RAM data for the four-week average ending with Week 34. According to the market share figures of radio channels during the last four weeks, Radio Mirchi ended Week 34 with a market share of 20.3 per cent.

According to RAM data, in the entire 12-plus category, for a four-week average ending with Week 34, Big FM had a market share of 17.3 per cent. It was followed by Friends FM, which had a market share of 11.4 per cent.

Aamar FM scored among the Kolkata women, garnering a market share of 10.6 per cent during the same period. Red FM and Fever FM both ended with a market share of 8.6 per cent, while Radio One ended with a 6.3 per cent market share, in the average of the last four weeks.

Meow FM had a 5.6 per cent market share, followed by AIR FM 1 Rainbow with a 3.7 per cent market share. AIR FM 2 Gold ended with a 3.3 per cent market share, Akashvani Kolkata had a 2.2 per cent market share. Power FM ended with 1.5 per cent market share, while Vivid Bharati had a market share of 0.7 per cent.
