RAM Rambling: Kolkata listeners opt for Radio Mirchi in the mornings

As per the latest RAM data, Radio Mirchi maintained its leadership position in the Kolkata market in the morning slot between 7 am and 11 am in Week 29. The FM station got a 21.1 per cent market share in Week 29, up from 20.7 per cent market share in Week 28, 20.2 per cent market share in Week 27 and 20.6 per cent market share in Week 26.

Big FM was placed in the second slot, securing a 20.7 per cent market share in Week 29. The FM station’s market share stood at 20.3 per cent in Week 26, which increased slightly to 21.2 per cent in Week 27, slightly down to 21 per cent in Week 28.

Friends FM, which is placed third, has increased in terms of market share, securing 11.7 per cent in Week 26, 12.5 per cent in Week 27, 11.1 per cent in Week 28, and increasing to 13.4 per cent in Week 29.

Aamar FM has a market share of 11.5 per cent in Week 29. In Week 26, the FM player’s market share stood at 11.4 per cent, which decreased to 10.7 per cent in Week 27, but increased to 12 per cent in Week 28.

Red FM market share for Week 29 was at 7.9 per cent. The station had a share of 8.2 per cent in Week 26, which went up to 8.6 per cent in Week 27 and Week 28.

Meow FM remained constant at 5.3 per cent market share in Week 27 and Week 29. It increased slightly to 5.4 per cent in Week 28 and decreasing it to 4.9 per cent in Week 26.

AIR FM 2 has a market share of 4.5 per cent market share in Weeks 26. The station’s share dropped to 4.1 per cent in Week 27, but dropped to 4 per cent in Week 28. The Station market share dropped to 3.5 per cent in Week 29.

AIR FM 1 market share remained constant with 3.4 per cent market share in Week 28 and Week 29. The station increased to 3.6 per cent market share in Week 26 and 3.1 per cent.

Akashvani has a market share of 2.5 per cent in Week 29 and Vivid Bharati had a market share of 0.5 per cent in Week 29.
