RAM Rambling: Fever FM, Radio Mirchi, AIR FM 2 Gold lead in different time slots in Delhi

The Delhi market has three different FM players leading in the three time slots. As per RAM data, while Fever FM rules the afternoon slot, Radio Mirchi continues its dominance in the evening slot. Delhiites prefer to tune in to AIR FM 2 Gold the most at night.

Afternoon slot

Fever FM ended Week 30 with a market share of 30.3 per cent in the afternoons in Delhi, emerging as the No. 1 player in that time slot. Placed second was Radio Mirchi with a market share of 21.6 per cent. Trailing behind at No. 3 was AIR FM 2 Gold, which had a market share of 13.1 per cent in Week 30.

The next cluster of FM players in the afternoon slot trailed far behind the top three players. Red FM had a market share of 9 per cent in Week 30, followed by Radio City with a market share of 8.1 per cent in Week 30.

Radio One was placed sixth, securing a market share of 5.8 per cent in Week 30, followed by Big FM, which reported a market share of 3.9 per cent in Week 30. Meow FM followed next with a 2.3 per cent market share in Week 30. Hit FM and AIR FM 1 Rainbow secured market shares of 1.8 per cent and 1.7 per cent, respectively.

Evening slot

The evening slot in Delhi saw Radio Mirchi continuing its lead between 5 pm and 9 pm, with a market share of 27.8 per cent in Week 30. Fever FM was placed second with a 22.8 per cent market share in Week 30. AIR FM 2 Gold secured the third spot with a market share of 15.7 per cent in Week 30.

Red FM trailed far behind at No. 4 with a market share of 8.4 per cent in Week 30. Big FM was slightly behind with a market share of 7.2 per cent in Week 30, followed by Radio City with a 6.9 per cent market share.

The next cluster comprised Radio One and Meow FM with market shares of 4.8 per cent and 2.3 per cent, respectively, in Week 30. There was tie between Hit FM and AIR FM 1 Rainbow at 1.5 per cent market share in Week 30, while Vivid Bharati reported a market share of 0.9 per cent.

Night slot

AIR FM 2 Gold ruled the air waves in Delhi during the night slot from 9 pm to 12 midnight. The FM station secured a market share of 21.8 per cent in Week 30. Close behind was Radio Mirchi with a market share of 21.2 per cent in Week 30.

Fever FM was at No. 3, reporting a market share of 15.1 per cent in Week 30, followed by Radio City with an 11.0 per cent market share in Week 30. Giving a close fight was Big FM, which secured a market share of 10.7 per cent in Week 30.

Red FM, meanwhile, reported a market share of 6.8 per cent in Week 30, while Radio One, which had gone through a series of ups and downs in the past few weeks, had a market share of 5.2 per cent in Week 30.

AIR FM 1 Rainbow, Hit FM and Meow FM reported market shares of 3.4 per cent, 2.4 per cent and 1.8 per cent, respectively, in Week 30.
