Radio services disrupted in Delhi due to fire

FM radio services were disrupted in Delhi last night due to break out of fire at Pitampura TV tower. The TV tower is around 200 meters high; it caught fire at around 10.30PM. The fire instantly affected radio services, causing a situation of tension.

Sources say that services of Fever FM were fine. Radio Mirchi services were affected; however, repair work has already begun.

It took 15 firemen to bring the fire under control. No one was injured in the incident. There was no clarity on the cause of the fire at the time of filing the report.

The Pitampura TV tower was built in 1998 and since then has been the spine of broadcasters based in the Capital.
