Radio One Chennai spruces up breakfast offering with new game show

Radio One Chennai has launched a new game show titled ‘Oru Nimisham Pesu, Laksha Rooba Kasu’ on its breakfast show. The new show would be on air from June 25 to July 25. RJ Suchi would host the show which would give listeners an opportunity to win upto Rs 1 lakh.

The contest will run from 8 am and 10 am from Monday to Saturday, and listeners need to SMS the right answers to a simple question that the host would ask on her show. Four lucky listeners from among those who send in the correct answers would be chosen to play the game. Essentially, four participants stand a chance to win Rs 1 lakh and more everyday.

Each shortlisted participant will play the ‘Oru Nimisham Pesu, Laksha Ruba Kasu’ challenge. The challenge is to correctly answer as many questions as possible within one minute. The questions are general and are kept simple. As soon as participant answers or passes a question, the host would move on to the next question and this can go on till the end of the allotted one minute. The maximum questions that the host would ask are seven in the minute. The exact number of questions a participant gets to actually answer depends on the time taken to answer each question.

At the end of one minute, the participant gets Rs 500 for every correct answer. Any participant who answers all seven questions correctly within the one minute wins Rs 1 lakh.

Speaking about the show, LV Navaneeth, Station Head, Radio One Chennai, said, “We expect ‘Oru Nimisham Pesu, Laksha Ruba Kasu’ to be a huge success with all listeners since it is a simple and engaging, which lets people win money by answering a few simple questions and gives listeners an opportunity to win Rs 1 lakh. The contest also demonstrates Radio One’s promise to offer non-stop ‘Majaa’ in its new format which is all about speed and articulation of the complete station experience, every 20 minutes on air.”

Radio One is promoting the new contest heavily through press, television, outdoors, in-theatres and other media.
