Radio Mirchi takes safe & fun driving plank on ground with ‘CBF Stunner 10’

Radio Mirchi has joined hands with Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd to hunt for the ‘CBF Stunner 10’. The nationwide campaign is expected to culminate in February 2009. With the objective of promoting safe and fun driving, the ‘CBF Stunner 10’ is looking for biker boys with the ‘X’ factor.

The campaign commenced on November 17, 2008 across 22 cities – Jalandhar, Delhi, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Baroda, Thane, Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Goa, Lucknow, Bhopal, Indore , Raipur, Kolkata, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai and Coimbatore.

The hunt is divided into four phases. The first stage identified 125 contestants from each town, and further shortlisted 10 contestants in each phase made it to the city finale round and finally one stunner from each city was chosen. After the rigorous competition all across the country, the search will culminate in Mumbai, where 22 ‘Stunners’ would compete and the final winner – ‘India’s Stunner’ – would be crowned.

The hunt gives male listeners a chance to showcase their ‘X’ factor, and on the basis of their bike riding skills, persona, intelligence and zing, the lucky winner will get to be the proud owner of a CBF Stunner bike, a chance to be on Radio Mirchi, be a VJ with Bindaas TV and shoot a music video.

Commenting on the initiative, Anand Parmeshwaran, Executive Vice President, Mirchi Activation, said, “Honda is itself a huge brand and Radio Mirchi has a huge following among youth listeners from across the country, who expect good music and better gratification. This collaboration between the two will help us involve the youth more with radio as a medium. This apart, Radio Mirchi wants to give a platform to the youth and provide the society with safe drivers. The idea of the ‘CBF Stunner 10’ hunt is to pump in some extra dose of excitement and entertainment for our young listeners along with Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India Pvt Ltd.”

The selection process involving the 22 finalists would be aired on youth-centric channel Bindass as a reality show. The show is expected to go on air in the second week of January 2009.
