Radio Mirchi restructures its team in Hyderabad and Mumbai

Radio Mirchi recently announced some changes in the team structure in Hyderabad and Mumbai. As part of the restructuring, GG Jayanta is now the Regional Manager Marketing, South; Vikram Ahuja has been appointed as Cluster Head, Hyderabad and Indira Rangarajan has been promoted as the Regional Programming Head (West and South).

Jayanta, has been associated with Radio Mirchi as the Cluster Head, Andhra Pradesh, since 2008. In his new role, he will focus on developing innovative marketing strategy for the southern markets. GG Jayanta started his journey with Radio Mirchi in 2006 and was instrumental in launching the station operations in Bangalore. A Post Graduate Diploma holder in Management from IIM-Bangalore, he has worked with O.K.S. Speciality Lubricants, Johnson and Johnson and SAIL in the past.

Ahuja, began his journey at Radio Mirchi in 2003 with the Chennai station and has held Marketing Heads’ positions in New Delhi and Mumbai, where he was actively involved in strengthening the Bollywood connect for brand Mirchi. In his new responsibility, he will be looking after the business operations of the AP cluster. He holds a Masters degree in Entertainment Industry Management from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA. Prior to joining Mirchi, he has also worked for Sony Pictures Entertainment and FCB-ULKA.

Rangarajan, who was working as the Programming Head, Mumbai, in her new position as Regional Programming Head (West and Central), will strive to develop interesting and engaging content for the stations in the Maharastra, Gujarat and MP clusters apart from handling the Mumbai station. Indira joined Radio Mirchi team as the first local Creative Services unit in Bombay in 2006 and was then PH of Chennai station during the launch of their new breakfast show in 2007 and subsequently became PH of Mumbai station (2007 – till now). She is actively involved in making Radio Mirchi the numero-uno station in Mumbai. She was awarded with the Creative Professional of the year at the World Brand Congress, 2009. Prior to this she has also worked in leading advertising agencies, SSC&B Lintas (Bangalore) and O&M (Chennai) in the creative space.
