After the launch of Radio Mantra in Gorakhpur last month, the radio station now has plans to launch stations in Agra, Ranchi and Varanasi. Besides the company also plans to bid for few more stations. The bidding formalities would be complete by November. Radio Mantra comes under the canopy of Shri Puran Multimedia Limited, a Jagran Group Company.
Radio Mantra forayed into FM radio three months ago, and has already come up with five stations in Hissar, Jalandhar, Bareily, Karnal and Gorakhpur.
“We are just three months old and already have five stations. In April alone we launched three stations. Our objective is to maximise our coverage in the Jagran domain in northern India. After covering the domain, we should be looking at expanding our presence nationally. Content wise, our music and content are both relevant to the city where we are while maintaining an aspirational value for the listeners and advertisers,” said Rahul Gupta, Director, Radio Mantra.
The company's promotions are aimed at exposing the listeners to the brand and the frequency at multiple points. We have successfully done so by giving branded t-shirts, key rings, sun shades, stephany cover, radio sets and exposing audiences to branded station vehicles and hydraulic trucks besides print media.
Radio Mantra thrives on the USP of adding local flavour to its content and believes in aspirational presentation. The programmes are presented in refined Hindi while keeping the local flavour intact. RJs who have that quality have been trained for over seven months. Efforts had been made to interact with our listeners through questions and answers, calling listeners, communication through SMS, and other methods like organising competitions.
