Radio Mantra has now made its presence felt in Agra, while Bhaskar Group’s My FM is being heard in Udaipur. At the same time, BIG FM has launched its station in Asansol. The Agra and Udaipur launches are the sixth radio station from both the Jagran and the Bhaskar stable respectively, while it is 23rd station for BIG FM. Radio Mantra will be on-air in Agra on the frequency 91.9 FM with a proposition titled ‘Mantratainment’.

The station launch in Agra had marketing support, such as road shows to create a buzz and to initiate FM culture by giving away radio sets. The city was loaded with outdoor and print media. Other branded collaterals such as umbrella, stephny covers and sun packs have been distributed prior to the launch to ensure good visibility.
In the last four months, the radio player of Jagran has launched in Hissar, Karnal, Bareilly, Jalandhar and Gorakhpur.
Launched after an extensive survey, MY FM plans to cater to the local flavour of the people in Rajasthan, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh. MY FM will soon launch 12 more stations in Indore, Gwalior, Nagpur, Raipur, Jabalpur, Bilaspur, Jodhpur, Ajmer, Kota, Ahmedabad, Surat and Amritsar.
BIG FM is the first private FM station in Asansol and the fourth in the eastern region. The other stations in the eastern region include Kolkata, Bhubaneshwar and Guwahati. The transmission will be available in the adjoining areas of Asansol such as Durgapur, Kulti, Ranigunj, Burnpur, Barakar, and Dhanbad as well.
