Radio Mantra, My FM and BIG FM go places during the week

Radio Mantra has now made its presence felt in Agra, while Bhaskar Group’s My FM is being heard in Udaipur. At the same time, BIG FM has launched its station in Asansol. The Agra and Udaipur launches are the sixth radio station from both the Jagran and the Bhaskar stable respectively, while it is 23rd station for BIG FM. Radio Mantra will be on-air in Agra on the frequency 91.9 FM with a proposition titled ‘Mantratainment’.

Speaking about the launch, Rahul Gupta, Director, Radio Mantra, commented, “Radio Mantra has turned out to be a very potent player in the radio industry; the company has ensured leadership status in its cities with the support of its in-depth research and understanding. Agra is our sixth destination and we are sure that Radio Mantra would connect and engage Agraites, providing them the best of music and content, thus maintaining an aspirational value for the listeners and advertisers.”

Harrish M Bhatia, Business Head, MY FM, said, “We are happy to connect with the people of Udaipur, and give them an opportunity to voice their opinion, in addition to playing the best music. We have some more exciting launches coming up. This is the second key market in Rajasthan after Jaipur, and soon we will cover a major part of Rajasthan.”

The station launch in Agra had marketing support, such as road shows to create a buzz and to initiate FM culture by giving away radio sets. The city was loaded with outdoor and print media. Other branded collaterals such as umbrella, stephny covers and sun packs have been distributed prior to the launch to ensure good visibility.

In the last four months, the radio player of Jagran has launched in Hissar, Karnal, Bareilly, Jalandhar and Gorakhpur.

Launched after an extensive survey, MY FM plans to cater to the local flavour of the people in Rajasthan, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh. MY FM will soon launch 12 more stations in Indore, Gwalior, Nagpur, Raipur, Jabalpur, Bilaspur, Jodhpur, Ajmer, Kota, Ahmedabad, Surat and Amritsar.

BIG FM is the first private FM station in Asansol and the fourth in the eastern region. The other stations in the eastern region include Kolkata, Bhubaneshwar and Guwahati. The transmission will be available in the adjoining areas of Asansol such as Durgapur, Kulti, Ranigunj, Burnpur, Barakar, and Dhanbad as well.

Tarun Katial, Chief Operating Officer, BIG 92.7 FM, said, “We have been receiving very encouraging responses from all the cities that we have launched in this far. We are very excited about launching in the city of Asansol and we want the tunes of BIG 92.7 FM to echo across the length and the breadth of the country. The programming mix of the station has been put together after much research and understanding of our listeners’ requirements.
