Radio City celebrates in Bangalore

Star TV Network's, Radio City 91 FM celebrated its anniversary in Bangalore in the first week of July. To mark the occasion, Radio City organized a competition for the advertising agencies in the city. The task at hand for the ad agencies was to create a creatively packaged radio advertisement that would address a specific and relevant public issue in the city of Bangalore. The competition was aptly named 'Public Service Address'.

Orchard Advertising came out as the winner in the competition. Their campaign, 'Wake Up Bangalore' was selected as the best by a panel of judges comprising S. Ghosh, President, Bangalore Ad Club and Executive Director, Saatchi & Saatchi, Gautam Sharma, Vice President, ING Vysya, Arun Katiyar, Station Director, Radio City 91 FM and Velu Shankar, Programming Director, Radio City 91 FM.

According to Sumantro Dutta, COO, Radio City, 91 FM, "The competition was intense and the deadlines were killing. Yet there was an excess of creative thought, which was heart-warming. Radio City can now take the message to every single person in this great city."
