Radio City 91 FM sings to monsoon tunes

Mumbaikars can now say bye-bye to the hot waves, Radio City 91FM is here to shower a host of monsoon specials this season. Starting mid-June, the radio station is having a cloud-burst of excitement through various programmes like Shri Bhutta Singh who will throw open a quiz on corn recipes everyday, Bheegi Billi will give information on exciting get-aways during the monsoon, Baarish Band Baaja and many more such exciting programmes, on-air contests and a number of bahanas which would help you sit at home and enjoy rain.

Synonym with the rain is the issue of potholes in Mumbai. Radio City has planned a special programme specially designed to highlight this particular issue. In its own innovative way Radio City 91FM will help highlight the issue of potholes, which are of concern to each and every Mumbaikar. A fun on-air, on-ground activity - Gaddha Tere Naam has been designed to bring to the forefront the issue of potholes in the city. Listeners can call / sms in and update on the big potholes in Mumbai. Consecutive day one lucky pothole will be named after the listener with an on-ground naming ceremony and live updates from the pothole locations.

That’s not all, this season Radio City 91FM is also celebrating Father’s Day on June 19 and World Music Day on June 21. It has planned special programmes lined up for the most important man in our lives – DAD. Also listeners will get a chance to dedicate a song live on-air to their father on the hour every hour. On the occasion of World Music Day, Radio City 91FM will celebrate the works of great music composers from Madan Mohan to R D Burman to S D Burman to A R Rehman and many more by playing their most famous numbers.
