Preity Zinta turns RJ on Radio Mirchi

If the reigning queen of Bollywood, Rani Mukherjee, could anchor a news bulletin on a news channel, then can the dimpled princess, Preity Zinta, be far behind?

After tying up for exclusive music rights of the Yash Raj banner movie, ‘Salaam Namaste’, for the month of August, Radio Mirchi has roped in the bubbly Zinta to co-host its breakfast show as an RJ for five days starting September 5, 2005.

The programme will be telecast across all the six stations of the FM channel in Ahmedabad, Delhi, Indore, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune.

Zinta is playing the role of an RJ in the movie in an Australian radio station for a programme called ‘Salaam Namaste.’

The romantic comedy is directed by debutant Siddharth Raj Anand, who worked as an assistant to Kunal Kohli for the film ‘Hum Tum’. The movie, starring Saif Ali Khan and Zinta, is set to hit the silver screen on September 9.
