Jagran FM brings in Subhashis Roy as National Sales Head; to launch 3 stations in Jan 2007

Subhashis Roy has joined as the National Sales Head at Jagran FM after being with ‘Outlook Business’ for a short span of time where he was part of the team that launched the product.

Roy began his career with Hindustan Times as a Sales Executive in 1994 and worked there for three years. He has also worked with organisations such as the ABP Group, Intelligent Investor, etc. He joined ‘Business Today’ magazine in 2001, where he was Regional Manager (West). Roy’s stint at ‘Business Today’ lasted for over five years.

When asked what made him interested in the FM radio business, Roy said, “It’s the most dynamic industry in the media sector and has tremendous growth potential.”

Commenting on Roy’s appointment, Narendra Tripathi, CEO, Jagran FM, said, “Subhashis will be a valuable asset to our company. He knows the nuances of the markets in the metros as well as in smaller cities.”

Asked about the launch of Jagran’s FM stations, Tripathi said, “We will be launching the first of our FM stations in Hissar, Karnal and Gorakhpur in the second week of January 2007.” He also informed that the company had appointed Brand Curry as its creative agency. It may be recalled that Jagran had won eight stations in the FM Phase II bidding under the name of Shri Puran Multimedia Ltd.
