Submission of entries for the 4th Mirchi Kaan Awards is on full swing with the entry deadline fast approaching on March 9. The agency that wins the Crystal Award this year will get to nominate two people for an all expenses paid trip to the Cannes Lions 2007.
Speaking on the Awards, A P Parigi, Managing Director and CEO, Entertainment Network (India) Ltd, remarked, “The Awards has entered its fourth year and continues to be the cheerleader for honouring outstanding creative work in radio advertising.”
Twenty winners will be selected from the 15 categories, which also includes the Crystal Award for the best agency along with other four awards recognising excellence in different segments. The 15 categories cover all the FMCG sectors along with the automobile industry, different services as well as a category for public service messages.
The contenders for the Crystal Award will be elected from the 15 categories. In addition to these, four special awards will be presented for honouring excellence in production, outstanding voice, radio writer and Client of the Year.
Commenting on the jury for the awards this year, Parigi said, “This year we have the good fortune of having an eminent jury panel to judge the Kaan Awards.” The list, which includes some of the best creative minds from the Indian advertising industry, features stalwarts like Piyush Pandey, Prasoon Joshi, KV Sridhar, R Balakrishnan, Chax, Prahlad Kakkar, and Agnello Dias, among others.
With the winners set to be announced in a few weeks from now, all ears are tuned for the best radio advertisements of the year.
