HCL Comnet launches employee communication initiative – Radio Comnet

HCL Comnet, a leading IT services company, recently launched a unique medium for employee communication called ‘Radio Comnet’, which is the world’s first radio newsletter in use for the company’s internal communication.

Introduced to package internal corporate news with an entertainment quotient for impactful message delivery, Radio Comnet will play pre-recorded messages related to the company’s latest happenings, news, etc.

It will also provide an interactive platform to employees to communicate within the company. All this information will be packaged with popular songs and played as CDs, without using airwaves.

J Kalyanaraman, VP-HCM, HCL Comnet, said “We at HCL Comnet constantly strive to give a unique employee experience to all our employees. Radio Comnet is just another step in this direction and I am sure this will be a great success in helping employees know the latest happenings within the company packaged with a high entertainment quotient. Communication at Comnet is always a judicious mix of formal and informal, and Radio Comnet will give further impetus to this spirit.”

An exclusive internal tool of communication, Radio Comnet, would be accessible by all employees through the intranet available on their desktops, as well as be played during breaks and canteen areas within office premises.

While inaugurating the Radio Comnet service Radio Mirchi’s popular RJ, Nitin, said, “I am very surprised with the HR initiatives at HCL Comnet. Innovative and fun methods of engaging with the employees are the need of the hour. The average age of an employee at Comnet is 25-26 years, it’s best to reach out to these people informally. I am very happy to be associated with this path breaking initiative.”
