Godfrey Phillips, Meow FM seek women bravehearts through ‘Golden Ovary Awards’

Godfrey Phillips Bravery and Meow FM in association with the Guild of Women Achievers have launched its ‘Golden Ovary Awards’ initiative on the occasion of Women’s day on March 8. They initiative is to conduct a nationwide hunt for five most courageous women in India.

The search will culminate with the Golden Ovary Awards ceremony in Delhi on March 23. The real-life stories of the courageous women chosen from across India would be documented through a series of programmes and promos on Meow FM. Nita Kapoor, EVP-Marketing and Corporate Affairs, Godfrey Phillips India, said “We are proud to present the Golden Ovary Awards, which is a step in saluting women with real guts – the guts to help others, to contribute towards bettering the world that we live in, and to do all this with a smile and spirit that, I personally feel, only a woman is capable of.”

Chaya Srivatsa, Founder, Guild of Women Achievers, India, said, “Our objective at Guild of Women Achievers is to empower women by maximising their potential and networking them for personal and professional growth. With a pledge that affirms that ‘loving oneself is a short step to loving others’, we are proud to honour the bold, unsung women of our country, whose stories need to be told to the world.”

Anil Srivatsa, COO, Radio Today Broadcasting Ltd, said, “Beginning today, the real-life stories of women across the country will be documented through a series of programmes and promos, broadcast on air by media partner Meow FM. From these real-life stories will emerge five winners with guts, chosen by an esteemed panel of judges, who would be awarded The Golden Ovary Award.”

Preity Zinta, the brand ambassador of Godfrey Phillips Bravery, said, “Courage is contagious. It spreads from one person to the other and engulfs society and humanity. At Godfrey Phillips Bravery, we have realised that when we salute one woman from a remote village in India, an entire village of women stands up and holds its head high. It has been an absolute honour to be the Godfrey Phillips Bravery ambassador, and I am excited that the Golden Ovary Awards will recognise and reward the grit of a woman.”
