exchange4media’s premier awards property Golden Mikes, which recognizes the best work in radio advertising is back for its 5th edition. Considering the immense potential that the radio sector offers to advertisers and agencies to showcase their creativity, it will be exciting to see the best of the work get awarded .
With 40 award categories spread over five key benchmarks, the Awards cover the entire gamut of radio advertising.
This year entries will be accepted for work done between 1st January 2014 and 31st December 2014. Entries for the 2015 edition are now open and will be accepted till March 1, 2015.
Last year’s edition saw a total of 80 awards being handed out, which included 21 Gold, 27 Silver and 27 Bronze metals. The jury was especially appreciative of the innovative way that some of the entries have used the medium as well as the creativity shown in getting the message across.
Tourism Board of Gujarat, with its well received series of radio spots, had won the ‘Radio Advertiser of the Year’ award with two Gold, one Silver and one Bronze metal. Big FM won the ‘Station of the Year’ with two Gold, three Silver and three Bronze metals. On the creative side, Ogilvy & Mather broke Leo Burnett’s two-year winning streak by winning the Radio Advertising Agency of the Year while Thought Blurb finished as runner up yet again. Meanwhile, Madison Communications was adjudged Media Agency of the Year for 2013 last year.
