BIG FM enters Chandigarh

BIG 92.7 FM, the radio initiative from Adlabs Films, has announced the launch of its station in Chandigarh. The launch of BIG 92.7 FM in the city marks the launch of its 12th station of the network. In the first phase of its launch, it set up stations in Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Mumbai, Jammu, Srinagar, Aligarh, Jhansi and Bikaner. The second phase of launches will take the channel to several mini-metros, taking the total count of stations to 45 and making it the biggest FM network in the country.

Commenting on the station’s entry into Chandigarh, BIG 92.7 FM COO Tarun Katial said, “We have been receiving very encouraging responses from all the cities that we have launched in this far. We are very excited about launching in the city of Chandigarh.” He added that the programming mix of the station has been put together after much research and understanding of our listener’s requirements. “It is our aim to create content that is relevant, credible and has aspirational value to the listeners. We are completely geared and are eagerly looking forward to entertaining this city.”

To create high aspiration and excitement, the channel has taken aboard several well-known personalities and has created an exciting programming mix that ensures relevant and credible information to their listeners. The station has designed utilities such as traffic and weather updates along with time checks and health tips to help optimise listeners’ time management and health. Another important programme offering is the ‘acknowledgement of local heroes in society’ by honouring the deserving common man who works relentlessly and voluntarily for the betterment of society.

Key shows will be hosted by personalities like Vrajesh Hirjee in Mumbai, Rajeshwari Sachdev in Delhi, Rakesh and Pragya in Kolkata, CK Chandru and Dayanand in Bangalore, Mamathi Chari, Dheena and Balaji in Chennai, Krish and Jhansi in Hyderabad and Sachin in Chandigarh. These celebrities will interact with the listeners in their language as they share their emotions on a daily basis, adding to the aspirational appeal of the station. In addition to this, it will also have a unique spiritual show hosted by Shweta Tiwari.

To ensure the highest aspirational appeal and connect, with its listeners, the channel recently signed on Abhishek Bachchan as the brand ambassador.

With an aim to touch 200 million listeners or one out of every five Indian, every third urban Indian and every eighth rural Indian, BIG 92.7 FM is on its way to grab the pulse of the nation. With all its offerings put together, it promises lesser clutter and richer reach by offering a super combination of wider coverage and better frequency.
