Big 92.7 FM Kolkata woos housewives with new game show

In a bid to provide entertainment and some pleasant reprieve to housewives, Big 92.7 FM Kolkata has recently launched a game show specifically targeting them. The weekly show gives home makers a chance to win prizes worth Rs 18,000. Hosted by RJ Paromita, the game show, called ‘Esho Ma Lakshmi’, is aired live between 10 am and 1 pm on weekdays.

A question is asked at the beginning of the show by the RJ and answers have to be sent via SMS to 5454. The RJ then chooses a participant from among the SMSes received and asks her nine questions. If she is able to reply correctly to all the questions, she then qualifies to move to the second round. The prize value increases with every correct answer in every round in this three-hour show.

According to Suddharag Bannerjee, Programming Head, Big 92.7 FM Kolkata, the show allowed home makers to take part in some activities which were not only enjoyable but also helped them win prizes. “We wish that each and every one of the participants wins and helps make the show a big success.”
