Mirchi Kaan Awards usually generates a lot of buzz among the advertising fraternity. This time, in its fourth edition, it has increased manifold as this year’s winner of the Crystal Award gets a chance to nominate two people for an all-expenses paid trip to the Cannes Lions 2007.
This year, 20 awards will be presented in 15 categories, besides four special awards, and a Crystal Award for the best among the winners from the 15 categories. The categories cover all the FMCG sectors along with the automobile industry, different services, as well categories for public service messages and even unreleased works.
The other special awards to be announced at the event are ‘Most Outstanding Voice of the Year’, ‘Radio Writer of the Year’, ‘Excellence in Production’ and ‘Client of the Year’.
The jury includes some of the best creative minds from the Indian advertising industry, with stalwarts like Piyush Pandey, Prasoon Joshi, KV Sridhar (Pops), R Balakrishnan (Balki), Chax, Prahlad Kakkar and Agnello Dias, among others.
With the winners set to be announced in a couple of days from now, all ears are tuned to hear the best radio advertisements of the year.
