Ajmer’s My FM was the only station launched last week

Bhaskar Group’s Synergy Media Entertainment Ltd (SMEL) launched its private FM radio station ‘My FM’ in Ajmer, Rajasthan last week. This is the third station for the Group in the state and is the first private FM radio station in the city. The other two stations from the group are at Jaipur and Udaipur.

Speaking on the launch of the new station, Harrish M Bhatia, Business Head, My FM, said, “Ajmer is a very important city for us as it belongs to a state which is the birthplace of MY FM. Coupled with our complete coverage of the state of Rajasthan through stations in Jaipur and Udaipur, followed by Kota and Jodhpur soon, we will be the only radio station network to cover the state of Rajasthan completely.”

Commenting on the programming mix, Viplove Gupte, National Programming Head, My FM, said, “Music is an integral part of the lives of the Rajasthani people and this is clearly incorporated in our content. We have a mix of both local and popular music.”

The station is already playing in the states of Rajasthan, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh, and will be launching six more stations, in Nagpur, Raipur, Jabalpur, Bilaspur, Jodhpur and Kota.
