AirCheck radio monitoring service extended to Pune

Radio Computing Services (RCS) India, a provider of broadcast and webcast software, has extended its AirCheck radio monitoring service to Pune, thus completing the coverage of all A and A+ markets in India. RCS India is a subsidiary of US-based RCS Inc.

Pune is AirCheck’s thirteenth launch. Said Nilesh Kolapkar, Assistant Manager- Online Services, RCS, “Pune is the last of these media markets for the service to start because until recently, Radio Mirchi was the only commercial station on air in the city.”

Karl Kessler, General Manager, RCS India, said, “Everyone in the industry seems to agree that Pune is a very viable media market. As a centre of higher education, it has a high percentage of young population. Its status as the hub for IT and automotive industries adds to its strength in the local economy. And the relative proximity to Mumbai has made it an attractive alternative to the metropolis for many businesses and new residents.”

AirCheck is a world leader in radio spot and music monitoring, providing services for broadcasters, media research firms, the recording industry and advertising agencies. It provides audio identification services of commercials and songs that are played on air. It monitors radio stations round the clock, every day of the year and provides “same day” verification.
