After carrying out test runs for nearly two weeks, Aahaa FM 91.9, the radio venture of Kumudam Publications Pvt Ltd, hits the Chennai air waves today. Aahaa FM, which has been launched with the tag line ‘Climax of Entertainment’, promises loads of fun, laughter and entertainment.

Besides the content, the FM channel boasts of a bunch of celebrity RJs, including playback singer Harish Raghavendra, Pavatharani (Iillayaraja’s daughter), popular orator Dindigul Leoni, Chinmayee, who crooned Tere Bina with A R Rahman, and Mayya with Maryem Toller in ‘Guru’, Revathi Shankar, popular comedian and actor Mayilsamy, and Paravai Muniamma, among others.

P Varadarajan, Managing Director, Kumudam Publications, said, “We are not targeting any particular listeners, whoever listens to the radio would be our TG. Content would be our driving force, Aahaa is not just another FM channel,” he said. While refusing to divulge information on the outlay for the channel, Varadarajan said that Aahaa FM would be targeting maximum market share.

Meanwhile, Amudhan, Managing Director, WOC and Creative Consultant of Kumudam Publications, said, “As far as Aahaa FM is concerned, celebrity RJs would not be you-blink-and-you-miss affair.
