Virgin Atlantic awards PR mandate to Good Relations

Good Relations (India) Pvt Ltd has bagged the Virgin Atlantic Airways account following a multi-agency pitch. This follows a revamp in Virgin’s creative and media accounts. O&M is the new agency handling Virgin’s creative business, while GroupM has been given the media mandate.

According to Neha Lidder Ganju, Marketing Manager (India), Virgin Atlantic Airways, the team at Good Relations India demonstrated the skills and enthusiasm necessary for an energetic brand like Virgin to take its communications to the next level. “With this partnership in place, Virgin Atlantic is all set to break new ground in the Indian market place,” she added.

Commenting on the account win, Meenakshi Sachdev Varma, CEO and MD, Good Relations India, said, “Virgin Atlantic Airways is one of those aspirational brands that most PR professionals would love to work with. We are confident of this partnership leveraging the resources, experience, relationships and the abilities of two organisations in identifying new opportunities. Particularly with new creative, media and PR agencies in place, there will be lot of new creative ideation to help take Virgin Atlantic Airways to greater heights.”

It may be recalled that Virgin Atlantic had recently launched an Upper Class suite in its flights, which offers best in class service to the Indian traveller, enthralling them with the unique on-board bar and in flight massage service, award winning in-flight entertainment, a chauffeur pick up and drop service as well as the new Virgin Clubhouse lounge at London’s Heathrow Airport.
