United Breweries appoints PR Pundit as its public relations partner

United Breweries Ltd (UBL) has appointed PR Pundit as its PR Communications Consultant for the brand communications needs of its extensive beer brand portfolio. PR Pundit, which secured the mandate following a multi-agency pitch process, has commenced work with the company.

Speaking on selecting PR Pundit as the communication partner, Samar Singh Sheikhawat, Senior Vice-President (Marketing), United Breweries Ltd, said, “PR Pundit is known for its out of the box thinking and we saw a reflection of their creative approach in their proposal for our brands. We were looking for a young and enthusiastic PR partner with an understanding of the alco-bev market for all our beer brands, who would be able to support our consumer centric communication requirements. PR Pundit’s strategic understanding, drive and passion give us the confidence to believe that this will be a successful partnership.”

On winning the mandate, Archana Jain, Managing Director, PR Pundit, said, “PR Pundit is delighted to be working with UBL to develop relevant and compelling PR programmes tailored to connect with its target audience. We foresee our role in raising the momentum of the brand portfolio to build appeal for the brands. We look forward to the ‘Good Times’ ahead.”

UBL’s association with brewing dates back over nine decades, starting with five breweries in South India in 1915. UBL today boasts a spread of own and contract manufacturing facilities throughout the country. Its flagship brand, Kingfisher, has achieved international recognition consistently, and has won many awards in International Beer Festivals. Kingfisher Premium Lager beer is currently available in 52 countries and has been ranked amongst the top 10 fastest growing brands in the UK.
