MSLGroup India has been appointed as public relations support for the 28th World Economic Forum on India. The meeting will be held for the first time in the National Capital Region on November 6-8, 2012.

MSLGroup India and the World Economic Forum began their partnership at last year’s Mumbai meeting. Last year’s event saw more than 700 participants from over 45 countries under the theme ‘Linking Leadership and Livelihood’.

Previously known as the India Economic Summit, this year’s meeting will convene under the theme ‘From Deliberation to Transformation’. More than 500 leaders from around the world are expected to participate in this gathering at a time when the country faces a new economic reality after 20 years of sustained high growth.

Jaideep Shergill, CEO, MSL India and member, MSLGroup India Management Board said, “We are honoured to support the World Economic Forum in India for the second consecutive year with our public relations expertise. The solid partnership is a testimony to our strength in providing strategic planning and counsel, and delivering seamless communications solutions.”

Among the key issues that will be discussed at the summit are:
How can best practices in inclusive governance at the federal and state levels be stepped up to accelerate India’s inclusive growth agenda?
How can India’s human capital development be improved by placing greater emphasis on advancing gender parity?
How can India better leverage its demographic dividend to empower the next generation of leaders both within India and in South Asia?
How can leaders balance the environmental impact of expanding consumption with sustainable solutions?

The World Economic Forum is an independent international organisation committed to improving the state of the world by engaging business, political and academic leaders to shape global, regional and industry agendas.
