MSLGroup beefs up senior team with two senior hires

MSLGroup, Publicis Groupe’s flagship strategic communications and engagement consultancy, has brought two senior personnel to its fold. Amit Misra comes on board as Executive Vice President & Director – Public Affairs, MSLGroup in Delhi, while Rekha Rao joins as General Manager, 20:20 MSL, Mumbai.

Misra will be the overall market leader for MSLGroup for the Delhi market and the Practice Leader for the Public Affairs practice across India. In addition, he will also strategically collaborate with 20:20 MSL in Delhi for business development, PA, key client relationships and talent development.

Rao will report to Ian Sequeira, Senior VP at 20:20 MSL and will lead her teams to build strong and robust operations and servicing functions for 20:20 MSL in Mumbai. Her key responsibilities include operational performance, growth, profitability, talent management and client engagement.

Commenting on the appointments, Jaideep Shergill, CEO India, MSLGroup said, “Both Amit and Rekha come with capabilities necessary to provide the more value-adding, strategic and content centric offerings that our clients increasingly are looking for in India. By appointing Amit and Rekha in their new roles, we are strengthening MSLGroup’s core functions, which will further add impetus to our continuing growth story.”

Misra has over 18 years of experience spanning corporate and consulting roles. Before joining MSLGroup, he was Managing Director of Zeno Group, an Edelman Group Company and led the launch of their operations in India. Previously, he was Director responsible for Edelman’s Delhi NCR operations.

Rao specialises in FMCG, consumer and lifestyle PR, and has worked with global giants in this domain, Unilever and P&G.
