Kirloskar Brothers (KBL) has appointed Metigon Enterprises as its agency on record for public relations functions. The mandate was earlier with Ketchum Sampark for more than seven years.
Metigon was selected by KBL following a competitive, multi-agency pitch contested by top PR agencies of the country, including the incumbent Ketchum Sampark.
The KBL account shifts to Metigon Enterprises close on the heels of ex-Ketchum Sampark Suman Sharma joining Metigon’s Pune office as Branch Head.
Reacting to the win, Aarif Malik, COO, Metigon Enterprises said, “We are delighted to be appointed as KBL’s communication partners. The win serves a testimony to our boutique nature and the fact that agencies such as us enjoy an edge over large ‘network’ agencies.”
Established in 1888, KBL is the flagship company of the $2.1 billion Kirloskar Group and is the largest manufacturer and exporter of centrifugal pumps and valves in India. The core businesses of KBL include large infrastructure projects in water supply, power plants, and irrigation, project and engineered pumps, industrial pumps, agriculture and domestic pumps, valves, motors and hydro turbines.
