Infosys scouts for new PR agency

Software service exporter Infosys is on the lookout for a new PR agency. The company has had a 12-year relationship with The Practice, the only PR firm it has worked with since going public on the Nasdaq in 1999.

The $7-billion information technology services firm has floated a tender seeking interest from public relations agencies as the contract with The Practice comes to an end later this month.

Infosys has confirmed the development, while The Practice has said that it will also bid for re-selection.

The new PR firm is expected to be appointed within two weeks’ time, as informed by an offcial from Infosys.

It may be recalled that once an industry bellwether, Infosys has been struggling to match industry growth rates for over a year. Against an industry growth projection of 11-14 per cent for the year to March 31, Infosys expects to grow at about 5 per cent.
