The third edition of exchange4media Conference for Public Relations and Corporate Communication highlighted topics such as Digital and Media 3.0, and Calculating Communication RoI, among other things. The discussion explored the role of public relations in the changing media landscape, the value and return on work done by PR professionals, and the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for this important function in the future.

Tim Sutton, Chairman, Weber Shandwick – Asia Pacific in his keynote address spoke about the revolutionary work that is being done by PR specialists around the world. He urged practitioners in India to look at the immense potential that lies in the field. Eminent personalities from the corporate world and agencies expressed their opinions on the current state of the industry and how they need to move forward to make it more meaningful for brands and marketers.

Though social media has its advantages, it has become a big challenge for brands when it comes to managing brand image and reputation.

Industry leaders came together to discuss issues such as how the custodians of a brand are looking at this media, how the industry is adopting the social media medium, what are measures that need to be taken, etc.
