Fleishman-Hillard ropes in Riitu Chugh

Fleishman-Hillard has appointed communications veteran Riitu Chugh to the role of Senior Vice President and Digital Strategist. Chugh will be based in New Delhi and will be responsible for growing the agency’s digital business across India.

Chugh has a strong background that includes both above the line advertising and digital communications. Her 18 years of experience span numerous industry sectors such as automotive, consumer durables, food and lifestyle.

“We continue to build out our infrastructure of social media and integration experts across the region to answer mounting client opportunities and demand,” said Lynne Anne Davis, President - Asia Pacific, Fleishman-Hillard. Commenting on Chugh’s appointment, she said, “Riitu has the ability to identify and mine that consumer insight ‘sweet spot’ into a compelling social media and digital campaign. We’re fortunate to have her strategic thinking and deep digital knowledge on our team.”

Chugh previously worked with Chaitra/Leo Burnett, Hakuhodo Percept and Interone Resonance-BBDO. In 2008, she joined Hungama Digital, where she helped turn social media into a viable revenue stream for the company. She then moved to Digitas India, where she handled a large IT services and mobile handset brand.

On her new role, Chugh said, “Communications agencies are all about managing conversations and continuing to engage readers, listeners, decision-makers and opinion-formers with magnetic content. I’m thrilled to be part of Fleishman-Hillard’s strong network of digital strategists and to apply my knowledge to the benefit of clients in India.”
