Chennai PR Club launched

The Chennai PR Club was formally launched after an interactive foundation meeting, held on July 10. The objective of the club is to enable media, PR professionals, industry professionals, students and teachers avail a common forum with the aim to develop the PR industry by complementing each other’s knowledge, experience and sharing their understanding of the industry.

Prime Point Foundation facilitated the formation of the Club. Announcing the launch, K Srinivasan, Chairman, Prime Point Foundation and Founder, Chennai PR Club, said, “This is a great opportunity for PR professionals to complement each other’s knowledge and experience. The young PR professional can bring in his perspective and learning into the forum. With enthusiastic participation of students this will also encourage the generation next to involve themselves in the growth of the industry”

The club also formally elected the Managing Committee at the foundation meeting. Vidya Swaminathan, Communication Officer, CES Onyx, was elected as the President, Rajagopal S, Branch Manager (Chennai), Hanmer & Partners Communications, was elected as Vice president, Sathish Isaac, CEO, Amazing Communications was elected as the Secretary and J Marceline, CEO – Management & News – an event management company, was elected as Joint Secretary and Treasurer. The Managing Committee plans to organise various programmes, seminars, workshops, group discussions and events to hone the professional skills of the members and to become the voice of the industry in the city.
