Bangalore-based Aim High Consulting has been appointed the official communications partner for CaratLane.com, one of India’s largest online retailers of diamonds, solitaire, gold jewellery and gold coins.

CaratLane.com is the brainchild of Mithun Sacheti, the scion of Jaipur Gems, and IT entrepreneur Srinivasa Gopalan. Together, they founded CaratLane.com in 2008, a unique amalgamation of technology and the traditional jewellery business.

In a short span of about four years, it has managed to become the de facto choice of Indians shopping online for diamonds and jewellery. One can choose from over 120,000 solitaires and customise their purchase on CaratLane.com. Traditionally, customers have purchased diamonds and solitaires based on the jeweller’s advice. This is because diamonds were wrongfully perceived as complex products. Caratlane aims to educate customers about diamonds and help them make informed choices. CaratLane also offers customers the option of cash-on-delivery, making transactions easier.

Headquartered in Chennai, CaratLane has customised the category for India, keeping in mind the Indian context and Indians’ needs. For this, the online retailer keeps releasing new collections keeping in mind the seasons and festivals. The website claims to have an average of 1,000 transactions every month.
