Sunil Rajshekhar takes charge of Times Response, Delhi.

As a part of the restructuring process at Bennett Coleman, in an internal movement, Sunil Rajksekhar has joined Times of India, Delhi (from Mumbai) as the Director-Response. He would be responsible for driving advertising from North India.

Confirming this move with exchange4media, Rajshekhar says, "I took over this assignment early this week i.e, from Monday" Commenting on his new assignment, he says, "As Director Response, my role would be to drive advertising business from North India to the Group's print properties across the country."

Rajshekhar has a long association with the Times Group. He started out his career in 1980 with the Times of India; he set up and headed the Times Group's Bangalore operations in 1985. And after spending 19 years left the Times Group in March 2000 as Director, Interactive pursuing an Internet dream at a startup Indiainfo.com as President where he was responsible for driving the Portal and Advertising Network.

Later, in November 2001, he joined Star TV's Interactive Division in Bangalore as COO and thereafter he headed the Investment Management Group at Star, where he was responsible for overseeing Star's Internet investments in India.

He joined back The Times Group in August 2002. Says he, "In my earlier stint my last assignment was as Director Response and Director Interactive, heading the Internet venture of the Times Group." He further adds, "On rejoining the Group at Mumbai, I headed TOI's International Media Representation Group as well as the Group's online sales effort for Indiatimes and other web properties."

exchange4media has earlier reported two more movements- Rahul Kansal joining the group as the brand Director and R Sundar taking the charge of the newly form corporate group as the as a part of the restructuring process at The Times Group. And now Rajshekhar's move from Mumbai to Delhi seems to be another step towards the same. Rajshekhar is excited with this move. Says he, "Delhi as an advertising market is rocking today and the challenge is to further consolidate our market share position through significantly enhanced business for TOI - Delhi." Rajshekhar will continue to report to Pradeep Guha, President, TOI.
