Spenta Multimedia has signed a formal deal with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) for ‘Chartered Accountant’ magazine. ICAI has been publishing the magazine for the last 49 years. The contract for the publication was formalised recently, even though Spenta has been involved with the publication of the magazine since July 2005.
Spenta Multimedia promoter, Maneck Daver, said, “The deal has benefited us as Spenta Multimedia is responsible for the editing the content provided by ICAI as well as creating its own unique content, designing, marketing advertisements and printing the magazine. Spenta prints the magazine at its state-of-the-art facility in Mumbai.”
Daver further said, “The print run of ‘Chartered Accountant’ is 170,000 copies every month, which are distributed to CAs and students, and are also available on subscription and sales. This makes it one of the largest business related publications in the country.”
The 160-page magazine contains features written by eminent professionals on various aspects of accountancy and the profession. Each issue is thematic in content. It also contains important announcements, international news, communication from the ICAI president and more. The future plans of the magazine are largely content and design related, with an endeavour to benchmark it with the best professional magazine international.
ICAI is a statutory body established under the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949, for the regulation of the profession of chartered accountancy in India. The Institute has achieved recognition as a premier accounting body for its contribution in the fields of education, professional development, maintenance of high accounting, auditing and ethical standards.
