The India Today Group's Business Group is all set to launch yet another magazine. Christened 'Smart Inc', the magazine is actually a new avatar of Computers Today-another successful publication by the group.
Priced at Rs100/-, Smart Inc would be a monthly, targeted at an audience group, which has been given a rather peculiar name. 'CXO', as the group likes to call its set of target audience, is actually a synonym for a mix of CEOs, CFOs, CIOs, CTOs and COOs of company.
Says Barun Das, G.M.-Marketing, Business Today "Smart Inc is being targeted specifically at Business Heads and Senior Functional Heads, who have a responsibility towards the bottom line of the organization and are also tech savvy."
Intended to be launched by the end of July or the beginning of August, the group expects a sales target of about 40,000 copies in the first month of Smart Inc launch.
According to the group, the editorial mission of Smart Inc is to facilitate managerial decision-making in the technology with a practical, 'how-to' approach and to achieve this mission, it would strive to provide concise, unbiased, focused and relevant IT advisory, that managers can easily link to their business goals.
Says Ashish Bagga, Publisher , Business Group, The India Today Group, "We have been planning for this magazine for about a year now. However, we waited for the right opportunity, which we feel is now, as we see a clear sign of recovery in the economy."
The magazine boasts Hari Menon as its Executive Editor, and a team of editorial consultants comprising Sanjoy Narayan, Editor- Business Today, R.Sukumar, Deputy Editor-Business Today and Samar Harlankar, Special Senior Editor.
With the backing of the Living Media Group and its numerous successful media brands, and being spearheaded by the Business Group, the industry awaits the launch of Smart Inc with high hopes.
