Shravan Garg joins Businessworld Group as Consulting Editor

Shravan Garg has been appointed as the Consulting Editor at BW Businessworld Group.

 Garg will help in ideation, conceptualisation and contribution to the Group’s editorial products; its print magazines and online editorial platforms.

 An alumnus of Thomson Foundation, London, UK and Salzburg Seminar, Salzburg, Austria, he has over 40 years of experience in print journalism covering Hindi, English and Gujarati, and, ranging from The Indian Express Group to the Dainik Jagran Group.

He has risen from reporter to Group Editor of Dainik Bhaskar, Chief Editor of Naidunia (part of Dainik Jagran Group) and was,a month back,  the Chief Editor, Free Press Journal Group.

 He is a Guest Faculty in the Journalism Department of Devi Ahilya Vishva Vidyalaya since July 2014.

 Garg writes regularly on current affairs - political, national, international and columns on news and analysis. Besides these, his forte is penning editorials and selecting outstanding contributors to the op-ed page. During his career spanning more than 4 decades he has had the opportunity of serving with the largest groups in print media.

 A frequent panellist on mainline national TV channels, he participates in live discussions on issues dealing with political, current affairs, national and international headline news.

 Garg’s participation in seminars and talks - national and international media events - as well as accompanying the PM on several visits abroad, as part of press entourage, has given him a wide-ranging perspective on events, even as they are unfolding. He was a member of the National Integration Council, Press Council of India, Editors Guild of India, Indian Institute of Mass Communication Society and hence had the opportunity to study the national media scenario from many diverse perspectives.
