Senior level changes at National Duniya

National Duniya, the Hindi daily from Esbee Media, has appointed Rajesh Sahana as Group Director, while Sushil Bhal has been brought on board as Chief Financial Officer. Meanwhile, while Editorial Director Alok Mehta and COO Sandeip Vishnoi have quit the organisation.

Confirming the news to exchange4media, Shailendra Bhadauria, CMD and Chairman, Esbee Media said, “We have put in place an entirely new team. Alok Mehta had been associated with National Duniya as Editorial Director for the last four months and I have very high regards for him.”

Mehta, a veteran journalist in Hindi media, started his career 40 years back with NaiDunia. He was the man behind the launch of National Duniya last year.

When asked who will be looking after the editorial section after Mehta’s departure, Bhadauria said, “Kumar Anand is the Group Editor and he will be looking after the editorial team. We are not going to appoint anyone as Editorial Director.”

Sandeip Vishnoi, who quit the organisation a few weeks back, had been working as COO since July last year. Prior to National Duniya, he had worked for publications such as Sakal, Lokmat, Dainik Bhaskar and Mid Day, in a career spanning 13 years.

In the new appointment Rajesh Sahana joined as Group Director and Sushil Bhal as CFO.

Commenting on the new appointments, Bhadauria said, “Rajesh Sahana is a very intelligent and experienced person from the banking and telecom industry. He had earlier worked in Singapore and Dubai and was heading Airtel’s operations in Rajasthan. Bhal is the former CFO of WLC. He has 30 years of experience in finance and equity.”
