Roznama Rashtriya Sahara, Sahara India Pariwar’s Urdu daily, launched its Bangalore edition on July 7. The Chennai edition of the newspaper would be printed from Bangalore within a month after this launch.
Roznama Rashtriya Sahara already has its presence in Delhi, Patna, Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Kanpur, Mumbai, Kolkata and Hyderabad. The Bangalore edition is part of the many editions that Sahara Pariwar has plans to come up with.
“We have plans to come up with editions in Bhopal, Jalandhar, and Jammu or Srinagar. Printing for the Orissa edition would be done from Kolkata. All these expansion plans would be complete by the end of this year,” said Azeez Burney, Urdu Media Head.
Roznama Rastriya Sahara has a circulation of over a lakh copies in the existing eight markets. The promotion campaign for the edition would be done through in-house print mediums and TV channels, informed Burney.
Sahara India Pariwar is a conglomerate with an asset over Rs 50,000 crore. It has a presence in diversified businesses like finance including public deposits, mobilisation and life insurance. It also has presence in infrastructure, hospitality and the media industry.
