I dedicate this award to millions of my viewers who have been my real source of strength. Whatever I am today is because my viewers have reposed their trust in my work. I have promised my viewers today that I will try to become worthy of the respect given to me at the Rashtrapati Bhawan.”

Sharma also tweeted about this honour and thanked his viewers. In his tweet he said, “I dedicate the Padma Bhushan conferred today to millions of my viewers who have been my real source of strength.”
