Jharkhand-based Hindi daily Prabhat Khabar has signed on Aidias as their business consultants recently. Aidias, promoted by Deepak Pramanik, former GM-Advertisement Marketing, ABP Group, was founded in 2004. The services provided by the firm include business development and strategy, specialised market research, customised training, corporate identity development and management.
Aidias will be working towards creating a comprehensive business development roadmap for the paper which will constitute circulation, distribution, marketing, production and scheduling. Besides, guidance will be provided to editorial in terms of content development and designing of the brand.
Explained Pramanik, “First of all, it is important to understand the business as it stands today. Based on that, by the end of May we will be making a business plan for the paper for this financial year. By the end of June or early July, we will create the roadmap for the brand for the next three years which will encompass existing businesses as well as new initiatives in terms of expansion plans.”
Sharing his thoughts on the brand, Pramanik said, “I think it is a big opportunity because the brand has a lot of potential. There is scope for growth. It is already the number one brand in Jamshedpur and Ranchi, which are the two most important markets in Jharkhand.”
“Prabhat Khabar’s baseline is ‘Akhbar nahin Andolan’. I want to take the slogan forward by creating a revolution in the commercial side of the business,” he said.
Commenting why the newspaper has roped in Aidias as business consultant, KK Goenka, Vice-president, Prabhat Khabar, said, “Pramanik has got huge experience in the media industry. We wanted to use his expertise for the future growth of Prabhat Khabar. His knowledge is going to be very useful for the organisation. Prabhat Khabar will gain from his experience.”
