Patrika completes five years in Bhopal

Patrika celebrated the fifth Foundation Day of its establishment at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh with a slew of activities on May 25, 2013. The day saw agents and clients of the paper celebrate the occasion in their own way.

Speaking on the occasion, Arvind Kalia, Vice President, Marketing, Patrika Group said, “Patrika’s presence in MP is both timely and relevant. The five years of experience in Bhopal have again shown that the essential editorial principals, along with welfare approach and rights-based perspective, ensure sustainable growth.”

Kalia also mentioned various strategic plans and quality initiatives drawn by the company for vertical and horizontal penetration in the territories and to improve its business in all its business verticals.

Patrika rolled on the celebrations with a Sarva Dharm Sabha, inviting gurus from various religions. This Sabha is conducted once every year on the occasion of Foundation Day. The Sabha was followed by a blood donation camp.

In addition to the editorial features, Patrika organised initiatives to increase reader engagement, including participation through ‘Stories’, ‘Poems’, ‘Painting’, ‘Cartoons’ and ‘Sher-o-shayari.’

The coming week will see an activity van plying round Bhopal city from June 1 to June 5, spreading the message of environment protection. The paper will mark the Environment Day with a painting competition on June 4. On June 5, a seminar on saving the environment will be organised.

For the record, Patrika began its operations in Madhya Pradesh in 2008. The paper has presence in the state with nine editions, with two more editions on the anvil. As per ABC (July-Dec 2012) figures, Patrika is placed in No. 1 position in Bhopal and Indore.
