Parragon Publishing to collaborate with Walt Disney to publish books

Parragon Publishing India Pvt. Ltd, set up as a joint venture between Vineet Sharma and international publishing major Parragon Publishing in 2006, will collaborate with Disney in publishing its books in India. It will sell the new range of Disney books with an array of titles, presenting popular animation characters and movie tie-in books in more vibrant and reader-friendly formats for young adult readers.

Vineet Sharma, MD, Parragon Publishing India, said, “Walt Disney is a name we have grown up with in India and internationally. Parragon India realises its publishing strength to harness the potential of the brand and the characters through its publishing abilities, converting it into more-than-affordable brilliantly produced books for Indian children. Here again, we will be employing the winning combination of selling through bookstores as well as non-conventional outlets to reach the market.”

Commenting about this tie-up, a spokesperson for The Walt Disney Company said, “Kids and their families have an affinity for Disney content. The launch of the Disney Catalogue with Parragon further strengthens our reach in the Indian market to deliver high-quality, compelling creative product to consumers across all platforms and distribution channels.”

On the occasion of its first anniversary, Parragon Publishing India is launching its new website www.parragonpublishing.in, which will present the entire range of books being marketed by Parragon India. The online catalogue aims to showcase Parragon’s range of titles.

Headquartered in New Delhi with its modern distribution centre in Noida, Parragon Publishing currently sells through the conventional route of bookstores as well as through modern retail outlets. It has a vast range of titles and caters to all genres of book lovers.
