Outpourings on Twitter from political & journalistic community on Vinod Mehta's demise

Veteran journalist and former Editor-In-Chief of Outlook Vinod Mehta passed away in New Delhi yesterday. He was 72 years old.
Vinod Mehta launched several publications of repute such as Sunday Observer, Indian Post, The Independent, The Pioneer (Delhi) and Outlook. He served as Outlook’s Editor-In-Chief and was Editorial Chairman of the publication.  He also authored many books including Meena Kumari and Sanjay Gandhi’s biography, Mr Editor, How Close Are You To The PM? and his memoirs, Lucknow Boy.

Mehta regularly featured on talk shows  and was a highly revered figure in the journalistic community. He was said to have been suffering from long-term illness.

There has been an outpouring of tweets on Vinod Mehta’s demise.
