Following unveiling its plans to launch a business magazine, ‘Outlook Business’, the Indian edition of international women’s magazine ‘Marie Claire’, and most recently, the facsimile edition of ‘Newsweek’, the Outlook group is now set to venture into the lifestyle space with the launch of its monthly magazine ‘Life & Style’ on April 10.
Explaining the strategy behind launching a lifestyle magazine, Maheshwer Peri, President and Publisher, Outlook Group, said, “The strategy is simple. We have to cater to various segments of the society. We wanted to give value addition to our readers. The main magazine is more serious. We wanted to give our readers a separate lifestyle magazine.
We wanted to lay stress on the leisure content through a different magazine as we don’t want to dilute the content of the main magazine.”
‘Life & Style’ will be available along with the main magazine free of cost in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad as well as two more cities (which could not be ascertained at the time of filing the story) from April 10 onwards.
The new offering from Outlook will cover luxury, leisure and style, which will range from luxury goods, exotic holidays to fine food and wine. Besides these, ‘Life & Style’ will also provide readers information on the best fitness regimes, spas and the most beautiful homes. In short, the magazine will have everything that will be of interest to the elite segment of the society.
As far as the circulation is concerned, Peri said, “We are aiming to have close to two lakh copies with the first issue.”
