Outlook Group would be launching a new fortnightly magazine on the stock market by early 2008. The name of the magazine has not yet been decided, but the Group is currently conducting a consumer research to finalise the name. The Group has also roped in N Mahalakshmi as Editor of the forthcoming magazine.
Mahalakshmi was Editor of Smart Investor, the magazine that is published every Monday with Business Standard.
Maheshwar Peri, President and Publisher, Outlook Group, said, “Not a single page of the new magazine would be replicated either in Outlook Money or Outlook Business. The three magazines would be completely different, with a particular character of their own. The target audience is the arrived investors who understand the nuances of the business and is willing to spend huge amounts in stock markets. To give relief from the stock related information, there would also be lifestyle-related information.”
Indranil Roy, Associate Publisher, Outlook Business and Outlook Money, will also be Business Head of the new venture. “The new magazine is going to be a different magazine altogether and would create a space for itself. The product would be much superior in terms of content, layout and design. It can be compared to some of the well-known international magazines available today. The target group would be a highly networked group,” Roy said.
