On NDA's 3rd anniversary, BJP president holds informal media meet

While celebrating three years in office, the NDA alliance led by the BharatiyaJanata Party (BJP) reached out to the media fraternity and apprised them about the government’s achievements under the leadership of Prime MinisterNarendraModi.

BJP President Amit Shah participated in an informal media interaction over the weekend to showcase the achievements of the government. While Shah was presiding over the ceremony, it was Power Minister PiyushGoyal who conducted the hour-long presentation, highlighting the areas of achievement of the ruling government. The others ministers who were part of this interaction includedUnion Ministers Venkaiah Naidu, Rajnath Singh, ArunJaitley, SushmaSwaraj and Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore.

According to top sources, the first media contingent to meet Shah and other ministers on Saturday morning included names like RajdeepSardesai, ArnabGoswami, Navika Kumar, ArunPuri, Supriya Prasad, Rahul Kanwal, Jagdeesh Chandra and SudhirChaudhary.

Sources also revealed that the party president and the ministers also met business journalists, social media experts and renowned columnists.During the meeting, Shahspoke at length about the ruling party's achievements.It is known that the main focus of these informal discussions was also the upcoming presidential election. Some reports say that the united opposition meeting at Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi's place was also discussed at length by media persons during the course of this informal meeting.

Apart from mainstream media, regional media representatives were also invited this year. From Kashmir to Kochi and Gujarat to Assam, editors from various vernacular media houses also participated in the meeting.
