Next Gen Publishing launches ‘PowerWatch India’ magazine

Next Gen Publishing Ltd, a leading publisher of special interest magazines, has announced the launch of their new magazine ‘PowerWatch India’. ‘PowerWatch India’, a B2B magazine aimed at the power sector, is being positioned as an industry player in itself, catalysing progress in India’s energy sector at every step of the sector’s growth.

HS Billimoria, CEO, Next Gen Publishing, said, “For a sector where private equity and the private sector’s active participation has just about started flowing in, it is very important for all stakeholders to have access to accurate, up-to-date information, for making the right value decisions. As a stakeholder in the sector itself – we do not like to call ourselves a magazine – we are an industry player.”

Saptarshi R Dutta, Editor, ‘PowerWatch India’ (PWI), said, “We expect PWI to play the role of a catalyst in India’s energy sector at every step of the sector’s growth. This is a vision we seek to share with every one of our readers. This is a vision that will take us forward in establishing a unique identity for ourselves. And this voyage can only be successful with wholehearted commitment not just from the PWI team, but from every single one of our readers. We have set out on a dream that we know will be realised soon.”

The treatment of the subject is what sets ‘PowerWatch India’ apart from other magazines in the same genre. The approach is informative, investigative, taking a close look at every aspect of the sector and aspects that affect the sector – positively and negatively.

The editorial team of PowerWatch is guided by a strong Editorial Advisory Board (EAB) comprising Adi Engineer, Chairman, North Delhi Power Ltd (NDPL); Amulya Charan, MD, Tata Power Trading Corporation; CA Colaco, Advisor to the MD, Tata Power; and Billimoria himself.

The regular sections of the magazine include – Power Prospect, En-Con, Tête-à-tête, Switch Gear, Green Ahead, Tech’tonic, Spotlight, Inside View and Regulatory Watch. Most sections will carry interviews with sector professionals and articles from them. As a trade magazine, it is imperative to focus on what the industry has to say, rather than carry a unilateral view from the editorial perspective. The inaugural issue carries interviews with Dr SK Jain, Chairman, NPCIL; Sunil Wadhwa, CEO, NDPL; Dr Ajay Mathur, Secretary General, BEE; and Murali Venkataraman, President, IEEMA.
