Naidunia, the Indore-based Hindi daily, is all set to make its presence felt in Jabalpur by August end. The edition is coming up with more pages and added features.
Vineet Sethia, Director, Naidunia, said, “Jabalpur is a high potential market and stakes are very high. We are planning to be the No. 1 newspaper in the area from day one. We have excellent print quality, which is obvious from the numerous awards that we have received for print quality. The newspaper’s credibility factor is one important quality that readers reckon with. We would like play on that note.”
With an initial print run of over one lakh copies, Naidunia is busy doing on ground surveys and advance bookings. A team of 270 surveyors is on the field for the circulation drive. They are making advanced bookings of three to six months.
The newspaper that also targets the upcountry segment is using around eight floats on trucks that would create a buzz in neighbouring villages, district and divisions of Jabalpur. As for the promotional campaign, more than 50 hoardings are already in place around the city and in the outskirts. Besides posters, banners and strip ads in local TV channels are also being used for promotion. The anthem of Naidunia sung by Kailash Kher is also being played through loud speakers on the floats.
Naidunia would offer 24 pages of information, daily updates and columns out of which 18 pages would be in colour. According to officials, the newspaper, which has five editions – Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, Raipur and Bilaspur – has a circulation of over four lakh. The circulation after the launch of the Jabalpur edition is expected to cross five lakh.
